Tester 1

Description:
Chipton Ross is seeking a Tester 1 for a contract opportunity in Hawthorne, CA.

SUMMARY:
Provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deep-water oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.
We are currently looking to add regular full-time Tester to our Environment Test Lab. The Tester will work on environmental testing of electro-mechanical components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct Acceptance, Qualification, and Reliability testing on electrical and electromechanical components per Military, Customer or company Specifications.
Performs Environmental testing for a wide range of testing conditions that includes, but is not limited to:
" Visual Inspection
" Electrical Testing
" Temperature stress testing,
" Shock/Vibration
" Salt Spray
" X-Ray
Sets up and operates laboratory equipment such as:
" Vibration tables
" Electrical testers
" Microscopes, calipers, and other standard lab equipment.
" Ovens and chambers
" Power supplies
" Other duties may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
" Entry level to 2 years' experience in assembly, inspection or testing of electro-mechanical components. Training will be provided.
" Ability to follow detailed procedures and workflows
" Must be able to read and understand test procedures, have good eye-hand coordination, dexterity to set up and test small parts in test fixtures
" Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Works on assignments that are routine in nature. Will normally receive detailed instructions on all work
" Familiarity with AS9100 Quality requirements is a plus
" Familiarity with PCs, Microsoft Excel and Word

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
