Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and secondary structure modification of aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
Work in a team environment
You will hold a Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with two (2) years relevant experience or will have a minimum of eight (8) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams and wire routing.
Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.
You are proficient creating mechanical drawings using CATIA (required) and AutoCAD (additional)
You will have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
You will be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
You must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
Effective communication of design intent, and design resolution are preferred.
