Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept: PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong Linux expertise to support advanced computing environments in the aviation industry. In this essential role, you'll help ensure system integrity, security, and performance for critical aviation operations—keeping the backbone of flight running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day:
Lead Linux-related projects, with a focus on antivirus management and patching.
Install, configure, and integrate servers and workstations to support aviation system architecture.
Provide advanced technical support and problem resolution for delivery systems and applications.
Monitor system performance and support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery initiatives.
Manage user access and implement security and hardening protocols to safeguard information systems.
Automate system tasks using scripting languages to increase efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
Support design validation and configuration management of complex computing systems.
What You Bring to the Flight Deck:
Required Qualifications:
Proven expertise in Linux system administration and application support.
Hands-on experience with system security, hardening, and software integration.
Proficiency in scripting and task automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
Deep understanding of system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master’s + 3 years, or 9+ years of practical experience).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
Background in high-security, compliance-driven environments.

Pay Details: $52.06 to $73.47 per hour
