Job Title: Application Engineer
Job Type: Full-time; Consultant-to-Permanent. 12 Months Consultation Duration.
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: Negotiable Market Rate

Job Description:
The Applications Engineer provides technical support to the sales team and customers. A primary factor to success in this position is the ability to clearly explain technical concepts, and the business advantages of products, to all levels of the customer’s organization, from technicians to C-Level executives. This position works closely with and coordinates between the sales and engineering teams, to deliver the best-embedded computer solutions to the customer.

Responsibilities:

• Support customers in the evaluation, design, and troubleshooting of embedded systems solutions.
  
• Provides demonstrations, preparation of prototypes, and other technical-related support.
  
• Participates in remote and on-site conference calls/meetings with sales personnel and customers.
  
• Has knowledge and proficiency in computer I/O architectures and implementations.
  
• Is familiar with modern and legacy Operating Systems such as Linux and Windows DOS and UEFI shell.
  
• Experience with installation, debugging, and configurations.
  
  Requirements:
  
• The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in supporting sales, and customers, and possesses strong knowledge of embedded computing or related electronics technology.
  
• A Bachelor in a STEM field with 5-10 years of experience.
  
• Has a strong knowledge of x86 and ARM system platforms.
  
• Possesses strong project planning and organizational skills.
  
• Must be energetic, self-motivated, and have a high sense of urgency.
  
• Must be able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, as well as the ability to quickly learn and master various software applications.
  
• Able to work independently and multitask among multiple projects and priorities.
  Must work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and customers in a positive, professional, and effective manner while exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices.
