Line Lead

Description:
PDS Tech is seeking a Line Lead for the Huntsville, AL Area!

SUMMARY:
Ensures all team members are working on the product and tasks as assigned. Will
anticipate and react accordingly to line problems; maintain constant communication with
management.
Job Duties:

• Have a complete understanding of each day’s work schedule, and each team member’s task to meet that schedule.
• Create production improvement strategies relative to KPI achievement and support team members through team leaders in translating those strategies into action plans by use of shop floor control system.
• Support departmental strategies, leadership functions, training coordination for the assembly production team.
• Create and maintain production reports as required.
• Lead and coach production team to achieve hourly/daily objectives.
• Identify waste in assembly processes and implement activities to improve efficiency.
• Support standardized work instruction for each assigned assembly production process.
• Support shop safety initiatives and manage timely implementation of countermeasures to resolve problems.
• Ensure daily process quality and coordinate activities with the team to improve assembly quality.
• Lead by example, following all company policies and procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any disciplinary issues.
• Assist with training and monitoring of team members.
• Assist with scheduling time off, coding timecards in time keeping system.
• Any further duties as assigned by management.

Must have a manufacturing background with strong computer skills.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience and increased responsibilities in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  
• High School Diploma or GED
  
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools
  
• Basic understanding of the different assembly processes and equipment
  Experience leading and facilitating improvement activities
