SOLIDWORKS DESIGNER

SOLIDWORKS DESIGNER Job Description

Plan, draw from prints, process quotes, and coordinate job orders in order to meet customer demands. Operate computer-aided design systems, nesting programs, and peripheral equipment to create electronic data for CNC machinery and Lead Operators to process job orders. This position will also maintain production drawings of customers and layout assemblies systems to meet customer expectations for quality, cost, design and delivery by performing the following duties.

SOLIDWORKS DESIGNER Responsibilities:

Develop designs and 3D layouts

Generate production changes to electronic data, release drawings, and estimate production timeline for each process

Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure that designed product from specified materials and customer needs

Review job orders and procedural manuals to determine critical dimensions of design and tolerances as defined by the customer

Calculate figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production processes

Confer and record sales and production schedulers to determine design modifications

SOLIDWORKS DESIGNER Requirements:

Minimum two years of CAD and Drafting experience; preferred use of Inventor or SOLIDWORKS

Ability to read blueprints

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, the metric system, and descriptive geometry

Demand based travel

Preferred associate degree in Engineering
