Description:
Spectrolab, a subsidiary of The Company Company, is seeking specific Engineering Support Services to address immediate and near terms workload concerns within our CAD/Tooling design team supporting a wide variety of Aerospace products in both our Photovoltaic and Illumination Systems (ILS) product lines.
Type of Service Required: CAD Design & Drawing Support
Estimated Length of Support Service Contract:
• This services SOW is intended as an interim measure to quickly identify and engage appropriate resources who may then be asked to apply against current / future regular hire requisitions
• Resources provided against this SOW should therefore be people who are interested in transitioning from a services contract to a regular hire position
Estimated Start Date of Service contract: ASAP (ideally by October 20, 2023)
Scope of Work:
• Generate production and procurement drawings for piece parts and assemblies per Aerospace standards (AS9100)
• Update 2D AutoCAD models and drawings consistent with the latest product configurations
• Generate 2D solar module, panel, and wing layouts in AutoCAD using defined block part libraries and layer management structure
Experience needed:
• 5+ years’ current experience and proficiency with 2D AutoCAD (AutoCAD 2022 preferred)
• 5+ years configuring assembly and piece part drawings to Aerospace standards
• Experience reading/generating wiring diagrams, schematics, wire lists
• PCB/PCBA or similar Packaging Experience

Desired Pluses:
• Proficient in 3D Autodesk Inventor 2022
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
• Electro-Mechanical Design Experience
• GD&T experience (applied experience is key; certification in addition to experience is bonus)
• Experience with 3D model management in VAULT

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
