Material Tracking & Documentation:
Use the material tracking system to generate parts demands, track squawks, and sign off on completed work in accordance with established processes and standards.
Tool & Equipment Use:
Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.
Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools to ensure safe, efficient, and effective performance.
Aircraft Interior Installation:
Prepare and install various aircraft interior items per company operating procedures and quality standards.
Fastener and Hardware Application:
Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors, applying proper hardware and fittings to ensure secure and accurate installations.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to safety, 5S (workplace organization), and housekeeping policies, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Proactively identify and address unsafe conditions to mitigate risks to personnel and property.
Assist with Maintenance Requirements:
Assist higher-level technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements as needed, under direct supervision.
Adaptability:
Be flexible and adaptable to changes in scheduling, work priorities, and team dynamics, ensuring continuous progress and productivity.
Pattern Creation & Use:
Create simple patterns for use in aircraft interior installation, following standardized procedures.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Technical Documentation:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Tool & Equipment Knowledge:
Proficiency in using hand/power tools and equipment typically used in aircraft interior installation and removal.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces or restricted areas, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Computer Literacy:
Must be computer literate and capable of using company software systems for tracking and documentation purposes.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
