Adhere to General Work Requirements
Read engineering drawings to identify the tasks to be performed in preparation for the application of chemicals and paint to aircraft surface
Apply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surface with stripper to remove all paint
Assist with moving aircraft to appropriate bay
Mask, unmask, and remask appropriate areas of aircraft surface to ensure complete protection of windows and other areas susceptible to damage
Remove stripper, excess paint, and/or contaminants using water, solvents, airblower, and/or brushes
Sand, grind, and buff polished areas of aircraft surface, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for the application of primer and paint
Apply alodine to aircraft surface using spray equipment
Assist with the application of primers to aircraft surface
Assist with painting parts, components, and/or aircraft surface
Assist with checking for imperfections after painting and striping application using discrepancy sheet and documented squawks and perform touch-up work as required
Document work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)
Perform above tasks in support of production, flight test, and other outside areas as required
May perform Designated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QA
Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
Apply base coat of paint, stripes, decals, and vinyl appliques to aircraft surface
