Removal and reinstallation of structural brackets, supports, vents, tubes, and component assemblies in aircraft fuel tanks.
Performs dry capacity checks
FOD free inspections prior to tank closure, fuel tank leak repairs/leaks checks, and drain/air purge fuel tanks.
Required to perform fuel system maintenance & pressurization checks as required
Required to perform Resistance Measurement and Seal installations to support fuel systems
Performs fuel tank maintenance safety tasks including clearing the aircraft when applying electrical power, using grounding safety devices, performing lock-out/tag-out, and performing Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) tests.
Defuels and refuels aircraft as required.
Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures’ manuals.
Read and follow the provided technical data, blueprints, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing specifications in the maintenance processes.
Provides troubleshooting knowledge, inspection, repair, modification, replacement of aircraft fuel components and systems and follow-on operational checks.
The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.
Perform efforts associated with flight controls installation, removal and rigging. Landing gear ops check, door rigging and servicing of aircraft
