Job Title:Software Engineer 3 Job Type:Full time; Consultant (6 months) Location:Colorado Springs, CO OR Huntsville, AL Schedule:M-F; 1st shift Pay Rate: $83 per hour
Job Summary The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are working with the leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro).
Job Responsibilities
Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
Develops and recommends corrective actions.
May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell
Experience with automation
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
Must be responsible to work independently / solo at times on large projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
Experience with Gitlab CI/CD
Experience with Nexus
Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware
Understanding of HP server configuration CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8 570.01-M IAT Level II Certification
Pay Details: $83.00 per hour
