A Software Engineer job in Cedar Rapids, IA is available through Belcan. In this role you will rehost/retarget Avionics Operational Flight Program (OFP), integrate, test, document and support avionics domain aircraft software. This position does require some travel to customer site and help with software integration and testing. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:
* Contribute to and own schedule commitments
* Attend weekly engineering status meetings
* Submit biweekly activity reports
* Perform work in ALM Jira database
* Perform configuration management in subversion repository
* Prepare software & documentation reviews and releases in the software control library
* Work with VSLs (stakeholders) to manage customer deliveries and support

Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in Software or Computer Engineering
* 6-10 years of experience
* US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card holder) is required
* Embedded Real-Time programming,
* Debug and hardware-software integration on Windows,
* Debugging and troubleshooting multithreaded applications,
* Understanding CPU endian translation,
* Tracing and setting bitwise data on ARINC avionics busses are required
