Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
A Manufacturing Engineer job in Sun Valley, CA is currently accepting applications. This is a direct-hire position with our key aerospace client. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacturing planning for the various work centers and programs within the manufacturing facility. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience.

Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities:
* Partner with Engineering to create winning responses to customer requests for proposals and develop the new products.
* Find innovative, cost-effective means to improve products, techniques, procedures, and technologies based on customer, and market requirements.
* Lead design for manufacturability, design for cost, manufacturing time standards, factory personnel training on new products
* Explore and implement the use of technologies to improve products and/or processes that are innovative and/or cutting edge
* Provide technical expertise and solutions to optimize cost competitiveness, manufacturing readiness, on-time delivery, quality excellence, and cycle time compliance across the full product lifecycle.
* Partner with strategic sourcing on identifying and validating low-cost manufacturing partners that maintain the highest level of schedule and quality compliance
* Identify automation opportunities; determine feasibility, ROI, and integration
* Collaborate with the development team to design fixtures and tools to meet production cost and production rate requirements.
* Identify and recommend capital requirements
* Lead continuous improvement during all phases of NPI, including time studies to ensure production rates are achieved per the NPI plan

Manufacturing Engineer Job Requirements:
* B.S. in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
* 5 + years of manufacturing engineering, NPI program experience and demonstrated skills in design and product development
* Background working with CNC Machinery (Haas is preferred)
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Possess a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
* Ability to perform complex problem solving.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Intermediate competencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
