Revolutionize Military Communications as an Embedded Software Engineer

PDS Tech Commercial, is seeking a visionary Embedded Software Engineer to join a team at the cutting edge of aerospace and defense innovation. Based in San Diego, CA, this high-impact role offers a chance to lead the development of advanced System-on-a-Chip (SoC) solutions for mission-critical Department of Defense applications.

As a subject matter expert in embedded systems and SoC architecture, you will directly influence the evolution of secure, high-performance military communication systems — with technology that shapes the defense landscape for decades to come.

Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
 

Your Role at a Glance

• Provide expert-level direction in System-on-a-Chip (SoC) architecture and development

• Drive innovation in software-defined radio applications

• Collaborate with top-tier engineers to create scalable, future-forward embedded solutions

• Influence long-term strategy for next-generation secure communications systems

• Support full lifecycle SoC development — from concept through integration

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a STEM field

• Minimum 15 years of experience in embedded systems or SoC development

• Proven experience in SoC architecture, design, and integration

• Background working with software-defined radios

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active SECRET clearance

• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset development

• Knowledge of military communication protocols and secure systems
