PDS Tech is currently seeking a Safety and Reliability Engineer for our client in Kirkland, WA

Job Title: Safety and Reliability Engineer (2210158966)
Start Date: As soon as cleared
Pay: $72k - $112k
Location: Kirkland, WA 98034 (14th St and Willows Rd)
Schedule: M-Th 9 hour shifts and a short 4 hour day on Friday. (Start time is flexible)
Number of Openings: 1
Type: Direct Hire (No contract)

Description:
Our client is seeking a Safety & Reliability Engineer to join our Cabin Electronics Product Development Team in Kirkland, WA. This position can be mostly remote after completing training. Coming into the office would be on an as needed basis.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Safety and Reliability Engineer participates in the development of Cabin Passenger Power and Service Systems equipment for Air Transport Aircraft, performing analysis and creating documentation to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and customer reliability and safety objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Design Engineering team to ensure reliability and safety requirements are adequately addressed in product implementation
Perform Reliability, Hazard, Failure Mode and Effects and Fault Tree Analyses and related tasks
Create reliability and safety document deliverables in support of product certification and offer ability

Requirements
Citizenship: US Citizen OR Green Card Holder
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
DS/BG: Drug Screen (Checks for Marijuana) and Background Check.

Experience Requirements:

Seven (7) or more years of related experience
Ability to understand electrical circuit functions and read schematic diagrams is required
Excellent communication and team interaction skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in creating formal documentation in Microsoft Word are required
Ability to proactively balance work to priorities and make and meet commitments on the programs you are assigned to is required
Experience with Windchill/Relex software and 217Plus reliability prediction model is highly desired
Familiarity with ARP-4761A System Safety process for Commercial applications is desired
