Description:

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.


seeking an experienced Training Device Technician at the Miami Training Campus in Florida. The Training Device Technician will maintain flight simulators and associated training equipment.



Position Responsibilities:

Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device;
Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.
Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software;
Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components;
Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators;
Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment;
Troubleshoot to isolate faults and repair faulty components;
Work under limited supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
5+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
5+ years' experience in testing flight critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop environment
5+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in maintaining CAE, L3, TRU, and FSI Full Flight Simulators;
Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
Associates Degree


Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).



This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
