PDS Tech is currently recruiting for a Customer Order Specialist in Herndon, VA for a 3rd Shift!

Title: Customer Order Specialist - 3rd Shift (CONTRACT)
Location: Herndon, VA
Hourly Rate: $33.00
Duration: Open-ended
Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Training and orientation on Day shift)

As a Customer Order Specialist on our 3rd shift, you’ll be the go-to expert for processing critical orders and solving complex logistical challenges. In this role, every night brings a new opportunity to make an impact, keep operations running smoothly, and build lasting relationships with customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Order Processing Guru (60% of Your Time)

    • Be the hero who ensures aircraft parts reach their destinations on time. Process orders, manage quotations, and handle everything from initial order receipt to final delivery.

    • Navigate logistical puzzles with ease, providing top-notch support on part availability, costs, sourcing, returns, and more.

    • Work closely with our Hamburg AOG team, European partners, and AIRTAC to ensure seamless order fulfillment, especially during those critical, high-pressure situations.

  • Relationship Builder (20% of Your Time)

    • Develop strong, positive relationships with customers. Your excellent service will make Satair their first choice for all things aviation.

    • Offer alternative solutions and guide customers to the right resources, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.

  • Technical Problem Solver (10% of Your Time)

    • Respond to technical inquiries like a pro, utilizing technical documentation and working with engineering teams to get customers the answers they need.

  • Jack of All Trades (10% of Your Time)

    • Embrace additional responsibilities that come your way, keeping the team agile and ready for anything.

Who You Are:

  • Education & Experience

    • You hold an Associate’s Degree in Business, Sales Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A B.A./B.S. in business, engineering, or a related field is even better.

    • You’ve got 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role, and if you’ve worked in aviation or military support, that’s a huge plus.

  • Skills & Capabilities

    • You’re a master communicator, both in writing and speaking. If you know German, French, or Spanish, that’s a bonus!

    • You’re not just comfortable with technology—you excel with Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and have a basic understanding of SAP.

    • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and bursting with energy, you tackle challenges with a "can-do" attitude and high professional integrity.

    • You understand Export Compliance regulations and can reference technical documentation to assist customers.

    • Your knowledge of aircraft parts sets you apart from the crowd.

Pay Details: $33.00 per hour
