Sr Advanced Software Engineer

Description:
This role involves SW development of board support packages, RTOS integration, device driver development, and debugging of HW and SW in the development on aerospace electronic systems. Requires working knowledge of Power Architecture based systems and applications. Experience with JTAG debugger a plus. Possesses the ability to write test scripts to test SW features and to run regression tests. Knowledgeable in building SW releases. Coordinates work teams and provides technical support to project team members.

Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered a top-level contributor / specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.

Candidate must be local to Deer Valley, AZ to support onsite lab integration and test.

The candidate must have the following experience:
• Software Development Life Cycle process development; requirements, design,
implementation, unit and integration testing phases.
• Embedded software development on Power Architecture processor systems, such as PowerPC and e500mc.
• Experience using Visual Studio and Green Hills MULTI environments to build and debug software on Windows and target hardware.
• Utilizing and developing embedded software for Real-Time Operating Systems
(RTOS), such as Green Hills INTEGRITY.
• Developing and debugging Ethernet networking interface.
• Developing and debugging interfaces such as UART and GPIO.
• Familiarity with board boot up and image loading a plus.
• Developing and debugging with ARINC 653 a plus.
• Experience with Video and Display processing a plus.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553B bus a plus.
• Used ClearCase/ClearQuest for software version control and configuration management.
