Summary:
Deliver training on the operation, repair, and maintenance of below-the-hook equipment and test tools (scales, weights, rigging).
Ensure safe equipment use by following operational manuals and tooling drawings.
Review internal requirements and evaluate vendor product specifications.
Verify structural integrity of purchased, fabricated, and repaired equipment for compliance and safe operation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced Proofload Technicians.
Perform routine and complex proofload (PL) tests using established procedures.
Conduct operational inspections before and after PL tests to assess equipment condition.
Document test results, inspections, and maintenance activities for accuracy and completeness.
Input test and inspection data into software systems (MES, CMES, Maximo/CRPMS, Cribmaster).
Recommend process and procedural improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements:
High School diploma/GED required
1+ year of related work experience, or equivalent vocational/Associate education
Strong mechanical skills
Tool maintenance experience
Proofload testing knowledge
Equipment inspection & compliance verification
Proficiency in documentation and software systems (MES, CMES, Maximo, Cribmaster)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
