PDS TECH Commercial is looking for a Powertrain Development / Test Engineer for our motorsport client in Santa Clarita, CA.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement plans for concept and component development.

• Manage the product life cycle from initial concept through to production.

• Execute test and validation procedures to ensure project goals are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize powertrain performance.

• Analyze data and provide detailed reports on test results.

• Communicate technical information effectively to various audiences.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Emphasis in internal combustion engines or electrified powertrains.

• Coursework in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.

• 3-5 years of experience in powertrain development and testing.

• Experience with test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing.

• Familiarity with data logging hardware and software.

• Proficiency in test instrumentation.

• Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in written form.
