JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65 per hour

Summary:
Performs various structural assembly tasks in a production department, ensuring all work meets required standards.
Assemble and fit detail parts and structures; perform drilling and riveting operations while ensuring all assemblies meet requirements.
Rivet structural assemblies using tools such as pneumatic guns, drills, and reamers.
Remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Follow work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations and hole patterns.
Inspect all work to ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection.
Maintain records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs) and perform repairs based on Discrepant Material Tags (DMT) and Production Change Orders (PCO).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners.
Maintain a clean work area, support the 5S program, and comply with all safety regulations.
Work independently on tasks and support Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of related structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Skilled in close-tolerance work and using specialized tools.
Proficiency in solving dimensional problems using mathematical formulas.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions and meet schedules.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work any shift.
