Mechanical System Design Engineer - Heavy Lift Systems - 100% ONSITE - POSSIBLE REMOTE

NOTE: being in design concept phase they need someone comfortable wearing multiple hats and who is proactive.

Must have experience with: “flaps”, “slats”, “high-lift devices”, and/or “horizontal stabilizer trim.

Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design. Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements. Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation. Performs and documents analyses. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design. Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Trains and coaches others. Works under minimal direction.

o Have you worked with HUGE cargo planes? - such as:
 C17 highlift globemaster (preferred)?
 C130 Hercules (preferred)?
 Will consider these:
 747, 777, A380, A350 ?
o Do you have exp with High Lift Systems?
o Exp with High Power Systems?
o Exp with High Torque Systems?
o Exp with Heavy Actuator Systems?
o If so – where did you work and what systems were you designing?
o This one is all about the HEAVY lift systems!!
