Summary:
Work in a team-oriented environment to perform inspections and ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations meet type design data.
Perform inspections using engineering drawings, route cards, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections, ensuring functional operation and compliance with paperwork.
Witness, verify, and document specific manufacturing processes.
Perform conformity/first article inspections per FAA-approved procedures.
Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
Promote workplace and product safety by reporting hazards and participating in safety programs.
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Conduct area inspections for standards compliance.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required.
2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
Formal Inspection Training Program (90 Days) required.
Knowledge of shop mathematics, CATIA, and blueprint interpretation.
Proficient in using basic shop tools and equipment.
