Electrical Technician - Test Facility

Description:
ABOUT THE JOB:
This position is part of a team that supports testing highly complex turbine engine products. The Electrical Technician is responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and testing electrical systems and components to support the development and certification of gas turbine aircraft propulsion engines.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Associate in Science degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of Electrical Technician experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience working from layout drawings, wire lists and schematics.
• Experience with fitout from utility and control system drops to motors, pumps, actuators, etc.
• Experience with 3-phase power and its distribution in a test facility.
• Experience in testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment.
• Experience with ordering components used in fabrication of wire harnesses, interface (Bud) boxes, etc.
• Experience fabricating wire harnesses.
• Experience installing wire harnesses for wiring control systems / PLCs to peripheral devices such as temperature sensors, speed sensors, actuators, etc.
• Experience fabricating interface boxes for signal breakout, signal interconnection, etc.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Experience in the Aerospace Industry mechanical testing environment.
• Experience with AutoCad or AutoCad Electrical.
• An understanding of mechanical systems, such as valves, load banks, and dynamometers.
