Mechanical Drafter

Description:
Description: Our Client is looking for a highly talented Mechanical Drafter. The desired candidate would have background in aerospace engineering drawing creation for mechanical components, subassemblies, and assemblies.

Purpose: The Mechanical Drafter will provide mechanical drawings support for the assigned program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create mechanical component, subassembly, and assembly level drawings from existing 3D parts in Solidworks
Adjust existing drawings with redlines from engineering staff
Work under product structures (Item, BOM, Routing, Customer spec summary, Manufacturing aide, etc.) in the company's ERP/MRP system per operating procedures

Update, maintain, and sustain documentation
Track and remedy red lines with engineering staff
Support and maintain engineering processes

Qualifications:
Composites experience, in Aerospace preferred

3+ years of Aerospace Engineering drawing / drafting
Highly proficient with Solidworks drawings required
Ability to read and apply processes, procedures, and drafting notes to aerospace products
High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous
Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required
Able to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
Motivation to document work and close out projects
Candidates must be US Person for compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)
