(Remote)Structural Engineer - Turbomachinery

Description:
A remote Structural Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing gas turbine and rocket engine components.

Structural Engineer job duties:
* Candidates will participate in interdisciplinary teams to support the design and analysis of gas turbine engine hardware (such as rotors, split and ring cases, airfoils, stators, vanes, and IBRs) and rocket engine components during various stages of design development and participate in trade studies. Candidates are expected to mentor younger engineers, manage the daily/weekly activities of those on their team, and report status to technical leads and project managers

Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.
* 2+ years of analyzing any of the following: rocket engine hardware, spacecraft structures, launch vehicle structures, or jet engine turbomachinery
* Understanding of fundamental hand calculations for stress analysis.
* Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis software (ANSYS/Hypermesh/Advanced Simulation)
* Due to the nature of the work involved, US CITIZENSHIP is mandatory
