Description:
An A&P Mechanic job in Fort Worth, TX is currently available through Belcan. If you are interested in career growth, company stability with a ton of learning opportunity this is the job for you. Scope of Work:

• Responsible for completing full material disclosures for purposes of reporting hazardous chemical content to relevant global environmental regulations and customers as necessary

• Calculate volume and density of individual parts and assemblies in Catia.
• Create 3d models and assemblies in Catia as required.
• Update process documents as required in word/ customer proprietary tool.

Skills Required:

• Read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of product finish process, manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with REACH regulations and SVHC compliance is a plus.
• Working Knowledge in Catia V4/V5 /V6
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• PC proficiency in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

Education:
• Associate Degree in a Technical field preferred or some advanced training in lieu of degree with experience

Position Summary:

Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
Performs serviceability tests as required, utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
Completes work package documentation as required by FAA and/or repair station manual.
Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Job Description:

The Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic repairs, fabricates, modifies, and installs sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies. Sheet metal mechanic work requires knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of sheet metal, knowledge of tools and equipment required in the sheet metal trade, and knowledge of shop mathematics and principles.

Job Responsibilities:
Shoot and buck rivets to specifications following FAA guidelines
Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness
Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices
Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure
Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards in regards to PPE
Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials
Make decisions regarding how to make repairs and know what repairs can and can’t be done
Understand and apply FAA standards
Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions
Effectively document job completion paperwork
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license strongly preferred
Previous experience working with sheet metal, or completion of a technical school program in a similar field of study
Must provide own tools
Ability to use and effectively manager ERP program, time clock and company intranet
Manage time to effectively meet company priorities
Abilities:
Crawl in and out of tight spaces

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Structures Technicians in Nashville, Tennessee.

Position Summary:

Performs structural repairs and fabrication of parts.  Ability to perform repairs per aircraft SRM and/or engineering dispositions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Follows approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points
Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
Performs serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping off after finishing all designated operations.
Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
Bolts, screws, or rivets accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.

Drills holes in structure and subassemblies, and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or to fasten subassemblies.
Inspects and tests installed units, parts, and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance with standards, using measuring instruments and test equipment.
Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
Able to identify bolts, screws, rivets and various fasteners used to support or assemble components.
Installs units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
Locates and marks reference points and holes for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
Provide information and documentation for engineering requests.
Comply with repair station procedures (RSM /QCM) and company policies (SOP) when performing aircraft or component maintenance.
Qualifications:

Education:

High School/ GED
A&P and / or structures experience a plus, or repairman’s certificate may substitute for A&P.

Experience:

Prefer at least 2 years experience.
Experience doing aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must be able to fabricate parts.
Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications or examines sample or damaged part or structure to determine repair or fabrication procedures and sequence of operations.

General Summary:

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
* Experience in developing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis as well as Reliability Analysis products.
* Experience in or knowledge of System Safety Engineering analysis and products, including but not limited to fault tree analysis, hazard analysis, computer based control system (CBCS) analysis, must work and must not work function analysis, etc.
* Experience with software/hardware integration, including avionics and electrical distribution systems.

Pay Range: $37/hr to $50.87/hr
