6 Non-Destructive Test (NDT/NDI) Level II Needed

Description:
Seeking aviation/aircraft non-destructive test (NDT/NDI) Level 2
MUST BE US PERSONS
MUST have successfully completed minimum training requirements defined in NAS 410, ATA 105, or ASNT-SNT-TC-1A for a Level 2 inspector in UT and PT.

• Responsible for accomplishing assigned inspection work on space flight system hardware, assemblies and vehicles.
• Conducts inspections utilizing a variety of NDT methods which may include but are not limited to ultrasonic, penetrant, x-ray, eddy-current, and thermal/infrared and laser shearography.
• Properly utilize NDT test equipment and associated tools to successfully interrogate hardware and structures, make decisions as to their acceptability for continued use and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment.
• Operate manual and automated NDT equipment.
• Shall be required to document inspection results in both paper and electronic forms as well as complete and sign work records in connection with work performed.
• Inspects parts, sub-assemblies and completed assemblies to the extent necessary to determine, accomplish and approve acceptability in accordance with written procedures.
• Will be required to, but not limited to be working on check aircraft.
• Assist with development of procedures and techniques for non-destructive testing of metallic and composite structures.
• Support training of other NDT personnel using hands-on knowledge from the vehicles via different mediums as appropriate.
• Excellent attendance, ability to work overtime, and other shifts as required.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must have successfully completed minimum training requirements defined in NAS 410, ATA 105, or ASNT-SNT-TC-1A for a Level 2 inspector in UT and PT. Training in other NDT methods is desirable.
• Must have recent, documented hours, working as a NDT inspector and have obtained sufficient experience to be certified in accordance with NAS 410, ATA 105, or ASNT-SNT-TC-1A.
• Must have strong working knowledge of composite aircraft and/or aerospace non-destructive testing processes in composite material.
• Ability to conduct inspections with limited supervision.
• Minimum 5 years aviation/aerospace industry experience desired.
• Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience on narrow body and/or business jet aircraft preferred.
• Experience with composite aircraft is preferred although not required (commercial or military aerospace application).
• Must display maturity of action and judgment.
• Must be able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate blueprints, specs, and other technical documents.

Physical and/or Additional Requirements
• Perform physical requirements of the position, including use of inspection hand tools, NDT equipment, lift up to 50 lbs., pass eye examination.
• Willing to work overtime, all shifts, travel and be on-call as necessary.

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Assembly Technicians in Melbourne, Florida.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.  Analyze processes and process improvement. May be responsible for distributing activities and goals, coordinate and guide technical support groups. Assist with new operators, as well as assist in processes analysis.

 Job Duties:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
Performs serviceability tests as required, utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
Completes work package documentation as required by FAA and/or repair station manual.
Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education: 

High School/ GED
A&P and mechanical/electrical experience a plus
Structures experience a plus.

Experience: 

A minimum of three (3) years experience with assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in riveting, installation of relate hardware, usage of precision instruments and utilization of hand tools to perform these tasks.
Must be able to fabricate parts.
Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications or examines sample or damaged part or structure to determine repair or fabrication procedures and sequence of operations.
Repair body or structure of aircraft according to specifications.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Be proficient in the usage of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.

Principal Instrumentation Engineer

Description:
In this role you can expect to lead a small team of engineers and technicians through a fast paced, cutting-edge flight test program. You will be responsible for designing, procuring, installing and troubleshooting the onboard data acquisition system on an exciting new aircraft project.

Ongoing engineering R&D work can be expected upon completion of the flight test project. Following the flight test program, you will work on the research and design of aerospace electrical and electromechanical systems, participate in environmental qualification testing, take part in flight test data acquisition and data reduction, write technical certification documents, and assist in manufacturing, installation, and product life cycle ongoing support.

This job will be primarily based at a test location in Washington State. Occasional travel to home office in Sandpoint, Idaho can be expected. Travel is required.

Job Description: Own the development, design, engineering and function of an onboard flight test data acquisition system. Position reports to Program Lead Engineer. Other expected duties include:

Define requirements for onboard data acquisition and telemetry system
Direct small team of engineers & techs to meet the needs of the program
Design and implement hardware and software solutions for ground and flight test
Work closely with vendors and partners
Install sensors, wiring, an any required electronic equipment in experimental test vehicle
Generate and review wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and installation drawings
Prepare data system for daily test execution
Calibrate, validate, document, and troubleshoot all installed sensors and equipment
Participate in ground, bench, and flight tests.
Data capture, storage, processing and analysis.
Draft proposals, cost estimates, plans, reports, and other documents as required
Review technical drawings and service documents to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulations
Qualifications:

10+ years instrumentation experience in experimental flight test
Experience leading an instrumentation effort is strongly preferred
Experience in Data Acquisition and software integration
Applicant must have experience using MS Excel, and MS Word
Applicant must demonstrate good technical writing skills
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team structure.

General Summary:
The Senior Manager of Propulsion & Fuel Systems is responsible to lead, and manage the day to day activities of the Propulsion & Fuel Systems Engineering Team to meet Program objectives. Sr. Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

Duties:
-Seeking a Senior Test Equipment Design Engineer whose area of expertise is electronics and automated test system design.
-Our automated test systems include those designed for testing power and digital electronics for space and defense applications; Units requiring automated test range from single-board computers, data acquisition boards, valve actuators to combustion and electric propulsion rocket engine controllers used in space-based applications.
