Composite Inspector - Job ID#205383

Description:
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Composite Inspector in Marina, CA.
Pay Range: $26 - $32
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of composite materials and parts.
Responsibilities:*Perform incoming inspection on supplied composite material
*Perform in-process inspection during the layup process for composite material
*Perform final inspection on completed composite parts
*Perform final inspection on the completed Work Order package

Basic Hiring Criteria:*High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 2 years of experience in composite inspection or fabrication and mechanical inspection
*Must know basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts
*Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the different types of measurement scales
*Must know how to measure using hand tools such as scales, calipers, and micrometers
*Must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors/ nonconformance's and document nonconformance
*Must have basic calibration knowledge
*Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical and key characteristics
*Understand traceability (product, material, and calibration)
*Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and perform measurement conversions; be able to solve for x; add and subtract degrees, minutes, and seconds
*Ability to work in a team environment

Desired Qualifications:*2+ years of on-the-job aerospace experience
*General knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system
