Summary:
Involves repairing and overhauling mechanical and electrical aircraft assemblies under supervision, ensuring compliance with Repair Station standards.
The technician will apply basic skills in various techniques, tools, and materials to repair or replace parts and subassemblies, perform functional tests, and maintain proper documentation.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic understanding of shop math.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly repair processes.
Ability to read blueprints, maintenance manuals, and follow technical documentation.
Ability to set up and operate test equipment for aircraft components.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
Ability to maintain required documentation in accordance with FAA Repair Station requirements.
Desired Skills
Experience in sheetmetal production/fabrication or hydraulic overhaul.
Basic knowledge of electrical theory and wiring.
Ability to perform sheetmetal repairs, electrical assembly, and harness fabrication.
Experience with APU maintenance and reading manuals.
