Mechanical Engineer II

Description:
A Mechanical Engineer II job in Louisville, CO is currently available through Belcan. In this role on the Advanced Development team, you will provide mechanical engineering support across next generation space system programs including the Landing Systems, Commercial Space Station, Habitat Systems, and Lunar Payload Services programs. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Mechanical Engineer II job duties:
* Provide mechanical engineering support across next generation space system programs including the Landing Systems, Commercial Space Station, Habitat Systems, and Lunar Payload Services programs.
* Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
* Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
* Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
* Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
* Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
