Manufacturing Engineer 3

Description:
SSE is looking for Manufacturing Engineer 3 to fill a role in Oklahoma City, OK.
Prefer local candidates, 9/80 schedule

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

Position Responsibilities:
• Review and generation of technical data packages in support of spare part procurement. Detailed review of 2D drawings to identify material/process obsolescence, manufacturability concerns, and other required updates. Writing high level manufacturing plans that provide critical build requirements to spare part suppliers.

Preferred, Skills and Experience:
• Prefer 5 years’ experience in aerospace domain
• Knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes, such as sheet metal forming, machining, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret old 2D drawings;
• Ability to clearly communicate technical requirements to technical and non-technical personnel
• Attention to detail;

Software skills required:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• CATIA is desired

• “This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.” US Citizen required.

Education:
• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required.
