Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. Works under general direction.

PROJECT/SKILLS
• Create wire harness fabrication planning, bills of material, and first article inspection plans. Development of installation plans may follow once the harnesses are ready to be installed in the aircraft. Initially working on fabrication and installation for work construction offering.
• Experience with tech writing is a huge plus

Education/experience

Scope of the project / Responsibilities:

A Consulting Civil Engineer role located in Denver, CO is currently available through Belcan. that the cost estimates are commensurate with the service provided. Ensure for compliance with

* Monitors recipients compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and requirements which are
pre‐requisites to solicitation of construction bids.
* May attend bid openings to observe bidding procedures. Prepares or reviews reports of results
including tabulation of bids, irregularities noted, and any anticipated or potential problems.
* Make appropriate findings and recommendations relative to recipients requests for project
amendments. This can include additional assistance request. Prepares necessary documents for
approval.
* Reviews and make recommendations to approve recipient's construction contract award
procedures to ensure that all applicable regulations have been followed
* Conduct pre‐construction conferences with the recipient, the architect/ engineer, and the
construction contractors. Conference must outline the duties of all participants during the
construction and warranty period.
* Conducts on‐site inspections of projects under construction. Inspections must ensure that the
work is being done in accordance with approved plans and specifications. The quality of
workmanship conforms to acceptable standards of the industry. Prepares reports of findings to
include recommendations for corrective actions where necessary.
* Evaluates recipients requests for change orders to determine whether the proposed change is
legitimate, and does not come as a result of an error in design or construction methods. Ensure
that change orders do not alter the scope of the project. Ensure that the cost of change orders is
reasonable. Make a recommendation if client should participate in the cost of the change.
* Monitor the financial position of assigned projects. Conduct field audits of recipients' records to
ensure the proper accounts have been established. Ensure that matching funds are available.
Ensure that only approved costs have been paid from project accounts, and that fund balances
are correct. Evaluate construction progress payments, and other project related invoices. Assists
recipients in preparing reimbursement requests. Make recommendations concerning
disbursements of grant funds.
* Conduct periodic site visits and final inspection to ensure that the project is complete and
function. May require overnight travel during construction and project completions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* BS/BA or higher in Civil Engineer, Engineer, Architect, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
study.
* Successful completion of a degree in engineering that (1) has at least one program accredited by
ABET or (2) that included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced that
first‐year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or
physics:
(a) statics, dynamics;
(b) strength of materials;
(c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics;
(d) thermodynamics;
(e) electrical fields and circuits;
(f) nature and properties of materials; and
(g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics,
heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
* A minimum of at least 3 years of experience is required

1. As a Project Manager this person will provide full-time, on-site project management.

Structural Engineer III

Description:
A Structural Engineer III job in Louisville, CO is currently available through Belcan with one of our Aerospace/Defense clients. You will be using your skills and expertise to design, evaluate, and certify cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and 6 or more years of relevant experience. This is a great contract opportunity with a growing company. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance may be required.

Structural Engineer III Job duties:

* Examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems
* Support the development of primary and secondary flight structures for Spacecraft Cargo System through structural analysis, using both finite element methods and hand calculations.
* Proficiency with FEMAP/NASTRAN analysis tools and methods
* Familiarity with fiber reinforced polymer composites analysis including classical laminate theory and finite element modeling techniques is required.
* The analysts will work with test engineers to develop full-scale test conditions that successfully envelop flight conditions for critical failure modes.
* Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activities
* Prepare material for, and conduct, periodic design reviews
* Execute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost, and schedule requirements
Qualifications:

* Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline and 6 or more years of relevant experience
* Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools
* Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
* Experience to Static and/or Dynamic Analyses
* Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools
