Job Duties & Requirements:
A&P’s to perform hangar and line maintenance on mostly Boeing Commercial Aircraft
Kalitta’s own fleet consists of 747s, 767s and 777s
Mechanics do not need to be current or have an A&P, but they must have experience if they do not have a valid A&P
The job duties of an A&P mechanic vary from preventive maintenance to repairs
A mechanic makes routine inspections, documents inspections and repairs, performs scheduled maintenance and runs tests after making repairs or performing maintenance
Job duties may vary based on which part of the plane is being worked on
A mechanic working on the exterior of a plane may be fixing a broken wing, repairing paint or securing a door so it seals properly
An A&P mechanic inspects, services and repairs airplanes to ensure they’re operating correctly and safely
A mechanic is responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and that any problems are fixed correctly
Mechanics may work on different parts of an aircraft, such as the engine, landing gear, brakes and pumps
A mechanic working on the engine may be changing the oil, replacing belts or repairing a broken part

Aircraft Engine Mechanics

STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Engine Mechanics in Oscoda, Michigan.

Job Summary:

A&P’s performing aircraft engine maintenance, teardown and overhaul on mostly commercial and regional aviation engines. Kalitta’s own fleet consists of 747s, 767s and 777s. Engines include CFM-56, CF6, JT9 and PW4000. Mechanics do not need to have a current A&P, but you must have experience if you do not have a valid A&P.

Job Duties & Requirements:
Replaces or repairs worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
Tests engine operation, using test equipment such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, and ammeter, to identify malfunction.
Listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burned valves.
Reassembles engine and installs engine in aircraft.
Disassembles and inspects engine parts, such as turbine blades and cylinders, for wear, warping, cracks, and leaks.
Removes engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck.
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
A mechanic may work with special instruments designed specifically for aircraft maintenance.
The job may also involve standing on ladders and working at various heights.

A Composite Design Engineer role located in Salt Lake City, Utah is currently available through Belcan. The Composite Design Engineer will design and validate aerospace structures, assemblies, and mechanical systems, primarily using advanced composite materials, metallics and engineered plastics. You will work cooperatively with operations to optimize the design for quality, cost, and throughput, and communicate the design and validation through CAD models, drawings, test plans, test reports and maintenance manuals.

Composite Design Engineer job duties:

* Produces innovative and intelligent designs of structures, assemblies and mechanical systems
using design specifications or department/customer guidelines and requirements. Typical
structures will be designed from advanced composite materials, engineered plastics, machined,
and welded metals.
* Specify materials, process, and parts in consideration of product certification.
* Works cooperatively with operations, manufacturing engineering, tooling engineering and
suppliers to optimize ease of manufacturing, cost, weight, and quality.
* Creates accurate 3D models/drawings and engineering data required to communicate designs to
manufacturing, suppliers and the customer.

* Recommends and plans testing to validate engineering results.

* Application of CAD tools to design of composites. CATIA Composites Design (CPD) preferred.

* Minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience performing duties and responsibilities in an
aerospace/defense/ government contracting environment
* Experienced in federal acquisition process, government contracting principles and regulations
(e.g., FAR, DFARS, contract-specific flow-downs, etc.) required

Position Overview:

Ideal candidates will be flexible and able to alternate between jobs as workloads dictate.  The assembler may work alone or in a team and is responsible for achieving allocated times for the tasks they are performing with good quality.  The successful candidate will also be able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work in low volume, high mix manufacturing with build-to-print projects.

General Summary:

The Industrial Engineer position provides technical support for the Production Engineering Group working in areas such as manufacturing, design, development, and testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Leading process optimization efforts to address specific business requirements and to eliminate waste from HACI assembly processes.

2. Supporting Production Engineering projects and initiatives with a focus on reducing costs, improving quality, and improving customer satisfaction.

3. Implementing productivity improvements.

4. Working with cross functional teams to develop best practice solutions.

5. Utilizing a wide range of Industrial Engineering, Lean, and Six Sigma tools and techniques to make process improvements.

6. Implementing mistake-proofing controls to maintain or improve process quality.

7. Conducting root cause analyses to address specific process or quality problems.

8. Working with Production Engineering teams to identify potential projects, assess feasibility, and implement solutions.

9. Performing Time Studies to understand processes and performance metrics.

10. Documenting processes using process mapping and value stream mapping.

11. Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools to lead and execute process improvement projects.

12. Designing facility layout alternatives.



Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

Bachelor’s Degree (Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent technical major).
Minimum 6 years’ aerospace industry experience in aerospace manufacturing, planning, testing and fabrication.
Six Sigma training, LEAN manufacturing process knowledge, and process improvement skills are highly preferred.
CATIA and AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Knowledge of design/drafting practices, design for manufacturability, GD&T, and proficiency in reading/understanding mechanical drawings.
Strong analytical skills coupled with a creative and open mind towards alternative methods.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

5+ years of experience with business problem identification, data collection and preparation, interpretation and problem solving

5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support

5+ years of experience in oversight of budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path

5+ years of experience communicating across organizations with suppliers and leadership

Experience working with the following software and database technologies is preferred: the Aurora Client, Job Sequencing and Scheduling Toolkit, Capacity Management, Electronic Bar Chart (EBC), E-Visuals, Priority Board, & Mantis

Liaison engineer team members are responsible as the primary interface for manufacturing floor activity for Cargo Module fabrication on the CRS2 program. Liaison’s goal is to ensure design requirements are met between production, planning, and supply chain, while maintaining schedule. Through a detailed understanding of the build processes, design requirements and extensive collaboration with the internal teams designing and managing installations, this team is a key stakeholder to ensure that the overall build of CM design achieves all objectives.

Job Description:
The Client Defense, Space and Security, V-22 Program is seeking an Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 3) to join the Mechanical Structural Engineering team. This position will support the structural integrity of the aircraft per V-22 requirements for the entire aircraft life cycle. Responsibilities include assignments to support those aircraft in production, in the fleet, or those undergoing structural modification. Systems Engineer II

Description:
A Systems Engineer job in Louisville, CO is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new system safety or reliability products and processes through the product lifecycle. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelors degree in System Engineering or a related field, and three plus years of experience of relevant experience.

Systems Engineer Job duties:
* Developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools.
* In charge of system-level ownership of new system safety.
* Develop Failure Modes and Effects Analysis as well as Reliability Analysis products.
* System Safety Engineering analysis and products including but not limited to fault tree analysis, hazard analysis, computer-based control system (CBCS) analysis, must work and must not work function analysis, etc.
* Software/ Hardware integration, including avionics and electrical distribution systems.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors of Science Degree in System Engineering or related discipline.
* Three plus years of relevant experience.
* System level design/analysis experience.
* Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
* Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
* Experience with fault tree analysis tools such as CAFTA or SAPHIRE.
* Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic MATLAB.
* Understanding of Guidance Navigation, and Control hardware and software for space applications.
* Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry.
* Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures.
* Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).

Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr DOE

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool and Design Engineer 2 for an opening in Redmond, WA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts in a coordinating capacity between tool design, manufacturing engineering and shops to resolve tool fabrication difficulties Assists in the establishment of project tooling and equipment requirements Provides advice on technical details used to develop economical and efficient type and class of project tools in order to produce acceptable parts in compliance with manufacturing specifications and standards Recommends changes to manufacturing specifications for simplification or improvement of tool designs Responsible for successful tooling based on efficiency, ease and safety of operation, ease of maintenance and cost of fabrication

STS Technical Services is hiring Welders in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.

Hiring Note: Seeking Traveling Welders for a 6 month opportunity in Pennsylvania.

Overview:

What is the pay? $26.00/hour + Daily Meal Per Diem 7 days per week – Gross $1390/week

How will you get to Pennsylvania? STS will fly you there or allow you to drive your own car and expense mileage

Daily Duties:
Heat and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch or welding equipment
Weld components in flat and vertical positions
Operate and read measuring devices accurately
Position, assemble, and weld various metal parts properly as outlined on blueprints
Ability to operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place to perform proper weldments
Adjust welder to proper welder configurations to ensure quality and accuracy of required weldments
Maintain attention to detail as necessary to adhere to quality standards
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Training and/or Education:
To be eligible for the job you will receive a welding qualification test upon start. A passing score is required to remain on contract.
High school diploma/GED required
Must have one (1) or more years of relevant experience
Must have a valid US driver’s license
