Job Roles & Responsibilities

Manage a team of Drafters, Designers, Stress Analysts and Aerodynamic Engineers working to produce updated external and internal loads to inform the reinforcement of the business jet airframe.
Provide program and technical direction to team by assigning tasks from conceptual design through completion of project.
Review designs, drawings, and reports for accuracy and completeness to ensure design meets company and FAA part 25 certification requirements.
Support development of test plans and participate in structural testing of the airframe.
Support manufacturing team and suppliers throughout fabrication and assembly of aircraft.
Coordinate Engineering Change Order process supporting cost, weight, and manufacturing improvements.
Work with Stress, Dynamics, Mass Properties, Aerodynamic, and Certification Engineers to provide airworthiness or certification assessments of the aircraft design.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience managing aircraft program engineering teams

Summary


The CNC Operator & Programmer position will have an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in machining and product design.

We are looking for an experienced machinist to assist our R&D engineers by programming and operating machinery including mills, lathes, and wire EDMs to produce components to specifications. The successful candidate will be accountable for in-process production quality assurance and leading troubleshooting efforts. We prize lifelong learning and expect our new machinist to bring machining experience of immediate value to the business while also being open to learning new skills while on the job.


While typical shop hours are from 8am to 5pm, this job will require rotating shift work when workload increases. Shiftwork is likely to be from 3pm-11pm during these times.

Programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis simultaneous CNC milling machines and other machining equipment involving precision tolerances(tenths).
Ability to generate CAM for machining parts. Expectation is to go from part file (3D Model) to finished part (CAM/Conversational).
Experience working in a R&D/Job Shop. Able to see the big picture and balance labor time vs. machine time.
Reading blueprints and understanding GD&T to ensure parts are produced according to required tolerances and specifications.
Selecting and applying proper tooling.
Responsible for verification and documentation of part dimensions and tolerances as required for quality.
Prototyping and creating models and early samples of products built to test concepts and processes.
Required to visually inspect parts for surface details and machining finishes with close attention to detail.
Knowledge of general shop math.
Providing consultation and training on CNC machine abilities and techniques.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Provide general upkeep and preventative maintenance on machines and other tools.
Ability to work safely and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

Intermediate understanding of part modeling and strong knowledge of fixture design.
Experience working with Siemens NX CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Prototyping experience is a plus.
MUST HAVE knowledge of programming and use of G&M codes.

Ability to use applicable inspection/measurement equipment: micrometers, calipers etc. as required.

General Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for the efficient build of a high quality aircraft which includes but not limited to: configuration control, creation of planning, tooling (manufacturing aides), work sequencing and designing efficient build methods. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supports work specific to detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations within a manufacturing environment.

3. Develops solutions for production problems relating to materials, manufacturing processes and/or the right tooling.

Metrology Specialist with experience in setup, build, and inspection of large tools and assembly structures. This role is for a hands-on person with great versatility with regard to building and assembling large precision structures. We are seeking an experienced Senior level test engineer to support structures, systems and avionics testing of components, assemblies, and integrated airframes. Thermal Analysis Engineer

Description:
A Thermal Analysis Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Marietta, GA. To be considered for this role you will need an Active Secret Clearance. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for developing and analyzing complex thermal management system architectures and structural temperatures for next generation air vehicle platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Sizing and performance modeling of complex structures, performing trade studies, developing/refining required analysis and data reduction tools.
* Document and present work to internal and external customers.
* Provide technical direction at junior engineers.

Requirements for the role include:
* US Citizen with Secret Clearance and Special Access Requirements
* Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 6 years of experience
* Experience with thermodynamics, conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer
* TMS experience
* Finite element modeling, thermal analysis, CFD, and subsystem analysis tool capabilities
* Leadership and mentoring experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong working knowledge with Matlab/Simulink and high level programing language(s) (C, C++, Fortran, etc)
* Experience with advanced engineering packages (Patran, Sinda, Thermal Desktop) and CAD packages is desired
* Experience working in a team environment

Be the company representative onsite at the supplier to help them translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional hardware.

Provide onsite oversight at the supplier.
Review supplier work instructions, procedures, techniques, materials and processes, supply chain, nonconformance reporting and resolution, and obsolescence issues for composites.
Review supplier tooling designs for composite fabrication and assembly.

Qualifications:

Description:
Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System. Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Assembly Process
