General Summary
The Interior Design Engineer will perform interior design engineering for cabin & cockpit structures, components, and trim for aircraft. The individual will also on occasion support tasks associated with interior Installations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creates conceptual designs for interiors of the aircraft through 3D modeling software, drawings, and/or drafting application.
• Develops designs for form/fit/function to meet customer and design criteria.
• Provides designs for the fabrication process including sheet metal, extrusions and inject molding
• Validates engineering designs per engineering core principles, design standards, processes and industry best practices.
• Makes recommendations to engineering lead/management.
• Researches and maintains up to date knowledge of technical data pertaining to cabin, cockpit structures, hardware, material, and finishes.
• Ensures adherence to program schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
• Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering from a four year college or university is required. (In lieu of degree, management may elect to consider individuals with a equivalent years of combined experience and training.)
• Masters’ degree in Engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least three years of design engineering experience directly related to mechanical/interior design for commercial aircraft.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of conceptual design development of aircraft interiors.
• Working knowledge of industry standard (i.e. - parts lists, bill of materials, parts and standards callout, etc).
• In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with 14CFR Part 23/25.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 workbenches or equivalent 3D modeling tools (i.e. - Solidworks, Unigraphics, etc).
• Proficiency in Teamcenter (or equivalent PLM tool).
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within an organization and present data clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work cross functionally with Quality and Production to resolve issues on the production line.

Description:

This role is responsible for the development of technologies and products that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide discriminating capability to our customers. This requires engagement in every phase of the system development lifecycle including: requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration & test, and verification & validation. Activities will range from low TRL research, development of prototypes, building demos, and transitioning to production.

Duties:
-Design Engineer - Must be able to create or modify designs of mechanical components and assemblies supporting propulsion hardware operating at high temperatures & pressures and in corrosive environments.

  • Control and maintain the configuration of Ball Spacecraft via Flight Software Tables throughout the life of the spacecraft development, integration and test, and mission operations. 
  • Own and implement the command and telemetry system and tools for Spacecraft Integration and Test, as well as certain flight ground systems.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Engineering Technician

Description:

PDS is seeking candidates to fill Engineering Technician positions in Logan, UT
 



Key Responsibilities: 



  • Create and modify simple bioprocess container chambers and assemblies according to marked up drawings and/or simple instructions
  • Utilize AutoCAD Mechanical in creating product drawings using predesigned blocks and following bioprocess container design guidelines
  • Create new blocks as requested
  • Effectively navigate within Sales Force to download design requirements and upload completed drawings
  • Operate with ERP system (Made 2 Manage) to maintain revision control of finished product and raw materials.
  • Utilize templates to generate work instructions for manufacturing of finished products in Manufacturing.
  • Operate within PDM Enterprise (electronic file management system) to check drawings in and out maintaining accurate drawing versions and histories
  • Utilize Master Control (document management system) to pull specification numbers and complete training sign-offs
  • Effectively communicate with team members
  • Proactively participate in the companies continuous improvement programs

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:



  • Associate degree, Technical Drafting degree, or two years drafting experience
  • Competence in Microsoft and other office application software
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to create/modify drawings based on daily expectations while maintaining quality of work.
