Description:
We have an Excellent Contract position for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Company in Minneapolis, MN.

Pay Rate: $41.19 - $45.90

** US Citizenship is required.**

Job Responsibilities:
• Work with a cross-functional team to develop and maintain system-level thermal models of munitions.
• Develop solutions to ensure the thermal survivability of munition subsystems.
• Utilize in-house CFD processes to generate aerodynamic databases
• Predict rigid body motion through CFD simulation of bodies moving at supersonic velocities.
• Support thermal validation testing.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Two or more years of work experience
• Experience with Ansys products with a focus on Mechanical APDL, CFX, and Workbench

Desired Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Six or more years of work experience in Thermal Design and CFD Analysis or a similar engineering field
• Proficient in the Ansys Mechanical APDL Command Language
• Familiarity with MINIVER or other Aero-heating codes
• Experience with electronics thermal management
• Experience with precision-guided munitions
• HPC experience
• Familiar with MATLAB
• Effective communication through technical writing and presentations
