Direct Hire Controller Accounting- Job Id: 201742

Description:
We have an Excellent career opportunity for a Controller of Accounting to join a leading Company in West Melbourne, FL.
Rates Range: $105K- $130K
The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations and activities of the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversees and manages the operations of the Accounting Department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
• Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff
• Oversees the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries with the proper supporting documentation
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports
• Allocate expenses between various jobs/cost objectives, billing them as needed
• Prepare invoices along with required supporting documentation
• Support the CFO in the implementation and oversight of internal controls, GAAP, CAS, and FAR regulations as they pertain to accounting transactions
• Work with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance of internal controls
• Interface with management in various departments, including sales, operations, and marketing
• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
• Assist with investor and lender reporting
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• 1099 maintenance and annual preparation
• Respond to all customer and vendor inquiries, maintain accurate vendor accounts, and collect from customers as needed.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
• Eight years of related experience is required
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient in database and accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
