Senior Mechanical Engineer (Fluid and Gas)

Description:
• Working as part of a Mechanical Engineering team designing fluid and gas systems for process facilities.

• Preparing technical reports, studies, drawings, calculations using engineering software, specifications, and data sheets for complex mechanical equipment.

• Ideal candidate will have experience in process system design that incorporates applicable design requirements, including nuclear safety requirements.

• Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in development of design, and collecting process, safety, and other requirements.

Q_ua_lif_i_ca_t_io_n_s:

• BS degree in Mechanical or related Engineering from an accredited university or college with six years of related experience.

• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.

• Familiar with Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development, fluid systems design, hydraulic, heat transfer, and thermodynamic calculations, and mechanical equipment specification.

• Experience in fluid system design in industrial, nuclear, nuclear waste and/or defense facilities.

• Knowledge of industry, and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.

• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.

• EIT in Mechanical or related Engineering Registration.
