Description:
Job responsibilities:
Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Participates in various test activities substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Works under close supervision.
Position Responsibilities: Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Supports in-service products sustainment by investigating failures, analyzing improvements and aircraft modifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies. Works under general supervision.

Desirable skills:
Knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques). Elementary knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites. Knowledge of relevant tools to carry out structural analysis. Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of aerospace products using knowledge of engineering disciplines.
