Job Title: Test & Evaluation Lab Tech 2 
Location: Seattle, WA 
Duration: 12 Month (possibility of extension)
Timings: 6:00 A. m to 2:30 Pm
 
Position Comment: 100% onsite.
 
Job Description:
·        Metrology is the science of measurement and includes all theoretical and practical aspects of measurement.
·        Metrology engineering covers the basic understanding of how measurement accuracy and precision impacts our ability to make repeatable and reproducible measurements throughout basic understanding of the importance of measurement traceability and the role calibration plays in establishing traceability, and the quality systems that support these processes.
 
Position Responsibilities:
• Candidate will have responsibility for electrical and/or dimensional/mechanical calibrations including, but not limited to; length, force, flow, pressure, mass, torque, temperature, humidity, vibration, voltage, current, resistance, RF power, and frequency in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and/or work instructions.
• Complete calibration activities prior to their due date. Run reports from calibration database as required to track equipment status to avoid any overdue calibrations. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.
• Must have good understanding of measurement traceability and be competent interpreting and converting specifications.
• Analyse calibration data to determine if the readings are “in tolerance” and if required perform out of tolerance evaluations, including calculations and processing required for “out of tolerance” documentation.
• Develop calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements.
• Perform uncertainty evaluation and analysis for measurement standards and associated measurement processes.
• Communicates to customers as it relates to the progress of the testing, repair and/or service(s).
• Familiar with ISO 17025:2017.
• Must be familiar with laboratory safety requirements.
• May be required to assist in other departments.
 
Education:
·        No degree required.
·        Manager has requested 'Please ensure they have strong background experience. Not recent high school graduates.'
