Location: Sedro Woolley 1 day/week and 4days/week Remote
Contract Duration: 6%u201312 months
Pay Rate: Approximately $65 - $75/hour DOE
Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizens; must be eligible to work on ITAR-regulated projects

Position Overview
We are seeking Tooling Engineers to support the design and development of tooling for aerospace manufacturing. This role involves creating robust tooling solutions that enhance production efficiency and ensure quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tooling design, particularly in the aerospace sector, and demonstrate proficiency in CAD software and GD&T principles.

Key Responsibilities
%u2022 Design and develop composite tooling: Layup fixtures, bond tools, assembly jigs, machining fixtures, drill jigs, and other fixtures to support aerospace manufacturing processes.
%u2022 Utilize CAD software (NX) to create detailed tooling designs.
%u2022 Create CAD drawings compliant with customer-specified formats and standards.
%u2022 Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precision and compliance with specifications.
%u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tooling solutions into the production workflow.
%u2022 Conduct tolerance analyses and implement design improvements to optimize manufacturability.
%u2022 Provide technical support during the fabrication and implementation of tooling solutions.

Qualifications
%u2022 Bachelor%u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
%u2022 Recent experience in tooling design with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
%u2022 Recent NX Experience
%u2022 Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in tooling design.
%u2022 Experience in the aerospace industry and familiarity with ITAR requirements.
%u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
%u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
