Design and Analysis Engineer 3 - Electronic System Design & Analysis - 100% ONSITE

Description:
Shifts: 1st shift
•Start Time: 7-9 AM (Central)

“The key skill set I am looking for is an EE that has experience designing avionics electrical systems in the VPX/VME form factor and experience with defense industry aircrafts. They should have experience working with vendors to select parts, design electrical systems and subsystems, design the interface cables between the electrical system and an aircraft, and general test experience to do hardware/software testing of the system in a lab.”

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Bachelor of Science with 3 years of experience in relevant field of study or Master of Science with 1 year of experience in relevant field of study
• Experience with system requirements analysis, schematic design, and hardware/software integration
• Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces
• Experience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.)
• Experience with CAD and creating Electrical Schematics
• Experience utilizing JIRA for project management activities like cost and schedule management, milestone, planning and execution of SOW

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience or knowledge of cyber security principals or cyber certifications
• Experience or knowledge of network design
• Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management).
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with product/systems development and integration
• Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons)
• CompTia Security + Certification

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
