JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Python GUI Tool Developer

REMOTE WORK OPTIONS AVAILABLE!

ABOUT THE JOB:
Develop a cross-platform software tool to run on both Windows and Linux for configuring embedded avionics software. The output of the tool will be a configuration file that is consumed by the embedded avionics operating system and application layer to modify the behavior of the avionics subsystem.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
- Experience developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications
- Experience developing cross-platform application (Windows & Linux)
- Proficient in Python scripting
- Proficient with the Tkinter Python and PyQt libraries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
- Good positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with remote team members

PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with C/C++ programming
- Experience with embedded applications
- Experience with safety critical systems
- Experience with DO-178 life cycle development
