Systems Engineer III

Description:
Seeking a Systems Engineer 3 located in Hazelwood, MO.

**Must have active Secret Clearance to start**

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a Level 3 position.
The F-18 Maintenance Trainer Program has a need for a Systems Engineer to support requirements definition, design, development, integration, and testing of maintenance trainers supporting the F-18 Aircraft. The training system devices include virtual and hardware based systems that are used to train ground support personnel.
The successful candidates will have demonstrated skills and experience in the areas of system requirements management, system design development, system integration, and test. The successful candidates will also have demonstrated knowledge of configuration management best practices. This position involves frequent interaction with military end users, customer partners and suppliers.
Specifically this position will perform the following tasks:
1. Responsible for the technical assessment, requirements definition and incorporation of both software and hardware aircraft system upgrades on both the EA-18G and F/A-18F aircraft platforms and their impact to both the Integrated Virtual Environment Trainer (IVEMT) and the Maintenance Training Suite (MTS).
2. Position will require active role in the proposal process for Maintenance Trainer Upgrades (ROM and RFP support).
3. Coordinate and support internal and external teams as well as US Navy customer on project requirements, status, issues and performance.
4. Investigate technical issues, develop supporting data (Aircraft photo shoots, ESIL lab visits, and technical research) and establish supporting material for derived system requirements.
5. Responsible for capture/technical content of both normal and faulted system test procedures as they apply to project requirements.
6. Position requires travel to multiple domestic and international sites sometimes for multi-week final verification efforts.
7. Develop and submit contractually required CDRLs, support and host design reviews, customer meetings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with training systems development.
Experience with military aircraft maintenance.
Have F-18 Training Systems experience?
Have many years of experience do you have with aircraft maintenance?
Do you have significant IBM Rational DOORSs experience?
Do you have system engineering (Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements, or Test) experience?
Preferable multi system F-18 knowledge (ECS, Avionics, Weapons, Hydraulics, Flight Controls and Propulsion).
Experience with IBM Rational DOORs
Experience with any of the following: REDARS, IETM, Team Center, CMPRO, Clearquest/Clearcase

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
8 AM - 4:30 PM
