External Loads Engineer - HYBRID or POSSIBLE REMOTE

Description:

Location: Tustin, CA --- Onsite/Hybrid strongly preferred. Will consider Remote for the right candidate.

Pay Rate: Up To $100/HR



Requirements:

Must have minimum 10+ years of experience with B.S. in engineering
Specialist or high-level Sr. Engineer
Must have experience in static and dynamic loads, as well as some understanding of aeroelasticity
This is not an aeroelasticity role but this person will to some degree fill in the gaps between loads team and aeroelasticity team where they intersect.
Working knowledge of aircraft and spacecraft systems
Knowledge of FAA regulations and ability to apply engineering judgment on how those regulations and best practices would apply to our vehicles
Must be strong in MATLAB and Python
Experience with CATIA V5, NASTRAN, and FEMAP
Ability and willingness to mentor.
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent proactive communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.


Preferred Skills:

Test planning experience including flight and ground testing, writing test plans, instrumentation selection and planning, and data verification
Experience with full aircraft analysis – transonic required, launch vehicle & supersonic
Test execution experience including familiarity with standard flight test practices and safety processes
