Structural Steel Detailer

Description:
Creates the final drawings, sketches, and designs for steel structures

Responsibilities:

Perform document control using a drawing management or information system
Provide detailed drawings of structural components and their connections of steel and other structural materials
Draft plans and detailed drawings for steel structures.
Will utilize various drafting and CAD techniques to produce drawings in 2-D while working in a 3-D design model environment for project requirements
Assist project team with revising drawings to reflect as-built conditions
Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data to ensure that they conform to design concepts
Working under instruction to complete designs as required,
Experience with SDS2 software
AutoCAD
BOM organizing and filing
Skills needed:

AutoCAD
SDS2 software
Sheet metal
Bolting and Fastening
Structural Weldments
Welding procedures
Machining
