HYBRID Role out of Mojave, CA
Your Mission We are seeking a CAD Drafter with experience turning 3D models into 2D drawing. You will be contributing to and supporting a team of Engineers to develop cutting edge tooling designs and processes to be used in the fabrication and assembly of rocket motor components. Your goal is to keep drawing packages up to date. This includes, but is not limited to the equipment, tools and systems required to create an efficient, organized, and lean factory that fabricates propulsion systems supporting the mission to open space for everyone.
Desired Skills:
Basic Qualifications
AST or similar degree in Drafting or Engineers or 4+ years of experience in drafting Computer Aided Design experience (Solidworks 42+ years) Experience using ASME Y 14.5 GD&T Ability to read, interpret and create engineering drawings Familiarity with the use and implementation of design for manufacturing/assembly, design to cost, effective product lifecycle management, and product configuration management and control Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization Experience with PLM systems such as Agile Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 7+ years of experience in drafting ASME Y 14.5 GD&T certification Experience with composite fabrication and assembly processes
