Maintenance Technician- Job ID 201135

Description:
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company in South Plainfield, NJ.

The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, problem-solving, and maintaining all production equipment. The technician will perform all routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance, maximize equipment availability, and reduce unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair all plant mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions using electronic and PLC techniques
• Capability to wire and troubleshoot electrical wiring
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems on equipment
• Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to
• production specifications
• Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity, and
• reliability
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required
• Perform lockout/tag-out procedures according to company policy

Basic Hiring Criteria:
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications:
• Electrical background in a manufacturing industry
• Electrical Experience
• Overhead crane experience is a plus
• Fabrication and Welding
• VFD's strong PLC Knowledge
