Electrical Engineer II-GA-OM

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer II in Warner Robins, GA.

1. Perform the requisite avionics and electrical system integration design, documentation, substantiation, installation support, and testing for military and commercial aircraft systems, and will lead less experienced electrical engineers in performing these functions.
2. Review, audit, and update existing engineering processes, and will develop new engineering processes as required for AS9100 certification.
3. Design and develop system architectures, and will define key capabilities and performance requirements.
4. Generate and review electrical manufacturing drawings, wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, system control panels, and cable routing drawings using CAD software and other toolsets; and will generate and review Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
5. Generate and review engineering design artifact documents to include, but not limited to, requirements documentation, test documentation, Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), Weight and Balance, and System Safety Analysis.
6. Generate and review airworthiness certification documentation, including TACC/MACCs. Candidate will coordinate with production personnel during fabrication and aircraft installation process to develop most cost effective design.
7. Provide on-site installation support and perform aircraft surveys.
8. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal of military aircraft and related systems.
9. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions meeting all technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:
Bachelors of Science from an accredited college in electrical engineering with 2-4 years of professional experience, or 0-2 years of professional experience with an accredited Masters of Science degree in engineering.
1. Experience with using AutoCAD for the development of engineering drawings is required.
2. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently are required.
4. Candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present formal technical presentations.

1. Experience and/or specific education related to AS9100 processes associated with the integration and/or certification of avionics and electronics into aircraft is highly desirable.
2. Desired experience includes military aircraft, and experience with military aircraft communications, navigation, radar, FLIR, Electronic Warfare, fire control, environmental, network, and electrical systems.
3. Experience with preparation of electrical loads analysis; EMI/EMC analysis; human factors evaluations; system safety hazard analysis; and test planning/execution highly desired. Airworthiness certification experience also is highly desired.
